| Diablo Paddlesports owners and designers are paddlers from Texas. They searched but never found boats designed for their local waters with all the functions they wanted. They designed a kayak that not only floats, but maneuvers well in the shallowest water possible, even with a lot of weight on the boat. They also designed in comfort, stability and the option to stand up and paddle as well. What they did was to take the best of all concepts and combine them. They made their boats thinner and wider like a SUP board, but still left all the comforts, such as dry storage, wet storage, paddle and drink holders, plus a comfortable seat. Their design allows for standing up to paddle and fish, at your leisure. Yet, when you catch a headwind, or it is time to really make tracks, you simply sit down, switch paddles and kayak back. The SUP-Yak is a hybrid of two great traditions: stand-up paddleboard and kayaking. Diablo Paddlesports has a unique design offering the best of both worlds without sacrificing the joy of either. |
